The Macvin du Jura can be white or red, although most vine growers produce it in white. The eau-de-vie used to make Macvin du Jura is obtained by distilling Marc Jura.
It must remain at least 18 months in oak barrels before the development of Macvin du Jura. In terms of gastronomy, this Macvin wine can be served as an aperitif or as a dessert. It can also be drunk like that to have fun with visiting friends. He is an excellent ambassador of our Jura department .....

These varieties listed in the AOC "Côtes du Jura" are all allowed in the production of musts for the Macvin Jura.
The Macvin du Jura appellation, obtained by decree on 14 November
1991, covers all AOC regions of Jura wines and represents 3% of the
total production of the Jura.
The Macvin du Jura is obtained from unfermented grape juice, musts, which include one third of marc. It is aged for at least 12 months in oak barrels and must be between 16° and 22° alcohol to obtain the AOC.
The abuse of alcohol is dangerous for health, know consume with moderation. Alcohol should not be consumed by pregnant women. The sale of alcohol is prohibited to minors under 18 years old.
